Synchronized Expansion: Data Centre Meets Geothermal Phases

The Mentawai Data Centre solves the two largest challenges facing hyperscale compute: access to cheap, reliable baseload renewable energy (Geothermal) and the management of tremendous cooling demands (Desalination integration).

By matching our data centre expansion directly to geothermal generation capacity across three phases, we guarantee grid independence, eliminate transmission risk, and achieve a 50% discount on LCOE compared to mainland operations.

Three-Phase Synchronized Deployment (2026-2032)

1

Initial Deployment

2026-2027
Data Centre Capacity
25 MW IT Load
PUE Target: ≤1.20
Cooling: Direct liquid + air, PUE optimization
Synchronized Geothermal
25-35 MW
Purpose: Anchor clients (GIBFC, Mentawai Bay Authority)
De-Risk: Minimal capex, validates cooling integration with desalination
2

Capacity Scaling

2028-2029
Data Centre Capacity
65 MW (subtotal) IT Load
PUE Target: ≤1.18
Cooling: Enhanced heat recovery, improved efficiency
Synchronized Geothermal
+65-80 MW (subtotal ~90-115 MW)
Purpose: Regional compute demand, tier expansion
De-Risk: Phase 1 cooling systems proven, expansion is replication
3

Full-Scale Deployment

2030-2032
Data Centre Capacity
150-200 MW (final) IT Load
PUE Target: ≤1.15
Cooling: Integrated seawater desalination, zero waste water
Synchronized Geothermal
+450-550 MW (subtotal 540-665 MW)
Purpose: Regional hyperscale hub, ASEAN compute gateway
De-Risk: Proven cooling model, optimized operations, full ecosystem integration
