Intensive Agriculture

A high-yield closed-loop agronomy division utilizing the freshwater and fertilizing byproducts of our other operations to fulfill the food security requirements of the entire Mentawai Bay anchor clientele.

Feeding the Island

The rapid expansion of the SEZ, the GIBFC, and the Mentawai Bay precinct brings thousands of workers, tourists, and residents to an historically isolated island. Importing their daily nutritional requirements by sea is neither sustainable nor cost-effective.

Instead, the island itself serves as the anchor tenant for a highly efficient 5,000-hectare intensive agriculture program. By relying completely on the ecosystem's own byproducts, we slash overheads while guaranteeing local food security.

Sourcing from the Stream

The irrigation water is entirely sourced from the excess capacity of the Desalination plant. The high-grade fertilizers—specifically potassium and magnesium—are piped directly from the Brine Valorisation unit that processed the desalination waste.
